Bhubaneswar: The branch of state crime has decided to block Interpol to track a suspected Pakistani woman, which has caused the secret of defense sensitive from five former contractual staff from the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in the integrated test range (ITR) in the Balalasore District.
Basanta Behera, Hemanta Mistri, Tapas Ranjan Nayak, Sheikh Musafir and Sachin Kumar, who were allegedly trapped by honey suspected by Pakistani women, was arrested by police Ballasore on September 14 to share ITR information classified by foreign agents.
“According to the protocol set, we will take Interpol’s help to collect details about foreign women, who have contacted five people on Facebook and WhatsApp,” said the Director General of Police (Crime Branch) Sanjeeb Panda.
The source said the woman was associated with five people arrested through British SIM, whose number was +447947111773, since February last year.
The defendant allegedly sent photos and data related to the Mission test, cluster bomb and ITR atomic power system.
One defendant was suspected of receiving Rs 38,000 from the account in Dubai.
Probe agents said the possibility of financial transactions between the defendants and agents could not be ruled out.
Cyber cell experts from the crime branch have been involved in scanning handling social media and telephones that are accused and their chat with agents.
The defendant’s cellphone and laptop had been sent to the Cyber Forensic Laboratory here to be examined.
A separate team from the Indian Air Force and the National Investigation Agency have interrogated the fifth accused of Odisha.
The crime branch said they could seek further police return on the defendant for interrogation.
The source said the military intelligence wing in Odisha in July this year shared the details of anti-national activities from five accused by state police.
