Bhubaneswar: Six trains canceled and the other eight routes were diverted after derailing the item train near Angul around 2:30 a.m.
on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the East Coast Railway said there were no reports of losing their lives.
Dischief between Angul and Talcher Road seems to be caused by rain water flooding the track, he said.
Because there is only one song between Angul and Talcher Road, the train that runs on this route must be canceled or diverted, he said.
The canceled train included Bhubaneswar-Balangir, Rourkela-Puri, Hatiia-Puri, Durg-Puri, Rourkela-gunupur from both directions.
Puri-Lok Manya Tilak Weekly Express has also been canceled while Rourkela-Bhubaneswar will be short stopped in the city of Sambalpur.
Anand Vihar-Bhubaneswar Special who departed Anand Vihar on Monday will run through Chakradharpur-Jaroli and Jamhapura.
Visakhapatnam-Amritsar specifically from Visakhapatnam (now in Khalikot) will run through Vizianagaram-Rayagada-Titilagarh-sambalpur.
Durg-Puri Special who left Durg on Monday now in Boinda will run through Jalan Sambalpur-Titilagarh-Vizianagaram-Khurda.
Special Tapaswini Puri who left Hatiia on Monday now in Angul will run through Jalan Sambalpur-Titilagarh-Vizianagaram-Khurda.
