The defendant was identified as a good climbing (32) and Maharana Bhimsen (63).
While going up is unemployed, Maharana has retired as a top class recorder from the Ministry of Higher Education.
EOW said 38 victims had emerged in the joint police service test conducted by the Odisha Staff Election Commission (OSSC) in 2013 for the position of sub-inspectors, sergeant and representatives of the subordin.
Because of several trial issues, the results were published in December 2016.
The defendant spread rumors among many unsuccessful candidates that OSSC would release the second list of candidates chosen.
Without verifying from the OSSC authority, 38 of these victims approached two fraudsters in hopes of getting jobs in the National Police.
“Taking advantage of unemployed youth desperation, the defendant introduced himself as a senior officer of the department of the house and convinced them work.
An assistant part of Assistant (ASO), was named after a good rising work in the House Department.
The accusations ride disguised as a home officer and created a card Fake identity in his name, “said an EOW officer.
38 prospective work paid nearly Rs 1.47 Crore to the defendant through cash transfers and accounts during May-November 2020.
After realizing that they were cheated, the victims made several attempts fail to get a refund of their money.
Recently, they filed a complaint with EOW.
“As long as home searches rose, many burdensome documents including 12 ATM cards were also fake ID cards from the officials of the home assistant (ASO) have been confiscated.
All bank accounts have been frozen,” the officer said.
The EOW will investigate if there are OSSC staff who behave with people in fraud.
It should be noted that the credibility of the OSSC, which conducted an examination for post-B and C from the different government departments, was attacked after the arrest of Biranchi Narayan Sahoo, a former private secretary of the commission member, in July last year because it was thought to have disproportional assets.
Precautions have won many documents related to recruitment, including recognizing several government job applicants.
