Odisha expands partial locking until August 1

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Thursday extended partial locking until August 1 with some more relaxation.
At night at all the states and shutdown weekend in 10 districts with high infections will continue to remain valid during the period.
The Chief Secretary of the Semreach Chandra Mohapatra said, “Although the situation has increased, it has not been fully controlled.
Therefore, the partial lockdown needs to continue for two more weeks.
However, the government has relieved some restrictions on its efforts to achieve a balance between life and livelihoods.” The government has raised the sidewalk on plying buses in the state, with the only exception of the castle.
The bus has so far been permitted in 20 districts that report lower infections (category A).
Given the possibility of density in the castle because the rituals related to the ongoing Ratra, bus services to and from the city of pilgrims will remain suspended until July 25.
Likewise, passenger trains and castles have been suspended until July 23.
Chief Secretary said the gymnasium, spa and beauty parror can be reopened from Friday.
The government has also allowed film shooting and TV serials, both inside and outdoors, which are prohibited until now.
Similarly, sports and outdoor games have been allowed, but without spectators.
Restaurants and Dhabas can only serve takeaways.
Evening at night will start at 8pm to 6 in the morning in 20 districts falling under the ‘A’ category and from 5pm to 6 am in the remaining ‘B’ district.
The latter includes Cuttack, Puri, Khurda, Balalasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Mayurbukkanj and Nayagarh.
Shutdown weekend will also continue in these 10 districts.
Shops in the District ‘A’ district will remain open for three hours from 6am to 8pm compared to the previous 5PM
