Bhubaneswar: The final survey report from the railroad track proposed between Puri and Konark (35 km) – two famous tourist destinations that connect the Puri-Konark-Bhubaneswar Golden Triangle – it is impossible to ensure the visual pleasure of the beautiful sea for travel passengers.
The proposed project, which was trapped in Limbo for several years, was placed on the fast lane with the East Coast Railway (ECOR) sent a final survey report to the train board a few days ago.
Although Ecor has conducted a survey of preliminary techniques and traffic (PET) for the Puri-Konark railroad proposed through Ramachandi in 2017, the Forestry Department rejected route streaming on the grounds that the train line should pass through Balukhand-Konark.
Wildlife asylum located in the coastal regulatory zone (CRZ), a stone’s throw from the beautiful Puri-Konark coastline.
“Fresh pet surveys have been carried out throughout the alignment, avoiding wildlife reserves.
The field survey has been completed.
The final survey report has been submitted to the Railroad Council on August 21,” Read Ecor Letter to President Puri Vikash Parisia Bastia on August 23.
Puri Vikash Parishad, a voluntary organization, has recently provided a memorandum to the Ashwini Vaishnaw train minister so far the castle visited and urged him to provide budget sanctions for the project.
Bastia said according to the new survey report, the new rail line proposed now will be built on the opposite side of the road.
While the area facing the sea side of the road falls under the sanctuary and Crz, the Sela Marine Drive is not under the environmentally friendly sensitization zone.
“In the previous survey, the train line will pass the sanctuary that can provide a view of the coastline to passengers.
The approved route can provide a beautiful coastline passenger,” said a district official.
On April 28, 2017, the head of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik has proposed 50% of the project costs from the new Puri-Konark railroad to increase the tourism potential of Bhubaneswar-Konark-Puri Golden Triangle.
Konark, who is famous for Sun Temple and Beach, almost an hour drive by road from Bhubaneswar and 30 minutes from Puri.
