Odisha: Firearms are confiscated from a shootbook in Kandhamal

Asked: Police on Monday seized several firearms and Maoists near Dhubusara below the limit of the Gochhapada District Police Station in Kandhamal District.
The seizure came after the fire exchange between Maois and security forces on Saturday, where two special operating group commandos (SOG) were injured.
Firearms, including 12 pistols made in the country and pistols made in 8 mm, batteries, livewires, haversack, Maoist uniforms, solar panels, politic sheets, small size transistors, drug boxes, medicines, maoist literature, equipment and umbrellas confiscated, said, said Sp (kandhamal) agrawal.
Acting on intelligence input, anti-Maoist operations were launched together by the Special Operations Group (SOG) and Force Voluntary District (DVF) near Dhubusara on Friday.
Security personnel were under the heavy Maoist shot on Saturday morning, he said.
The police immediately took refuge and asked Maois to give up.
To save himself, the police party was fired in a controlled way in self defense.
Getting the benefits of dense and difficult terrain, ultras escaped from the place, he said.
