BHUBANESWAR: Almost four lakh domestic customers, who constitute half of their complete electricity customers in Yaas-hit Balasore and Bhadrak districts, are still to return power source.
On the other hand, the energy division is currently working on war-footing to reestablish power in the subsequent 48 hours.
Officials said the restoration and repair work is happening in full swing except at the places which are flooded.
“Of those 19.
5 lakh customers below the Tata Power North Odisha Distribution Restricted (TPNODL), we’ve revived the source for almost 13 lakh.
The recovery procedure is slow in Bhadrak and Balasore since most places are below water,” a mature energy department said.
The distribution was restored for nearly all of the customers at Jajpur district and also for almost 80% customers in Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.
