Bhubaneswar: Odisha has begun preparing health and labor infrastructure on the estimated RS 800 Crore considering the worst scenario which may be more than 19,000 Covid cases a day during the peak of the three pandemics.
According to the Document of the State Health Department, the state has started its work anticipating hospitalization in patients 1.76 lakh covid over a period of 75 days as long as possible the third wave.
While the highest case on the peak day can touch the maximum of 19278, calculated as 1.5 times the peak of the second surge of 12852, reported on May 22, a maximum of 22,988 patients may require ICU support during the third wave.
The average case per day will be a maximum of 10,217 compared to 6865 in the second wave.
The total positive case for the third wave has been projected at 7.66,275 compared to 5.21,150 in the second wave (from April 1 to June 15).
The state has been subject to sanction RS 800 Crore, approved by the emergency preparedness package and central health system Covid and Phase II (ECRP-II).
This center has agreed to total RS 23,123 Crore for all countries to be distributed at a ratio of 60:40 by the center and state.

The government has also approved the establishment of 28 field hospitals in 18 hospital hospitals, nine sub-division hospitals and public health centers with estimated RS 176 crore costs.
Mohapatra wrote to the district government to complete the commissioning infrastructure in December.
“We have started a lot of works, before the center approved the package,” he said.
The country has allocated RS 94.93 Crore to procure RPCR and a fast antigen test kit, RS 5 Crore to establish a laboratory and RS 30 Crore to buy essential drugs.
The government will spend RS 75.18 Crore formation of a child care unit in all hospital residential hospitals.
The government has made the provisions of Rs 24.67 Crore to pay monthly honorarium to PG medical students (25,000 per month, internship (RS 22,000) and MBB in the last year (RS 20,000) and nursing students (RS 18,000) for the spread in the Covid task.
Rs 53 , 82 crores will be spent on ambulance support to covid patients.
