Vasco: Odisha’s first choice goalkeeper FC Kamaljit Singh tested the positive Covid-19 moments before the team match against Kerala Blasters on Wednesday in the setback of the Indian League Bio-Secure to Bubble.
“Kamaljit has been tested positively but the match is on schedule because all players have been tested negatively in the team.
We have our reserve goalkeeper (Arshdeep Singh) ready,” a source close to the development to PTI.
He further said Kamaljit has developed symptoms and is immediately isolated.
OFC’s last match against ATK Mohun Bagan on Saturday must be postponed after a player in the Mariners camp was tested positive in the first official case of Covid-19 in the tournament detained by tight bio-bubbles.
But since then there has been a concern about the possibility of the spread of Covid-19 in the bubble with four ATK players Mohun Bagan also tested positive.
Also on Sunday, FC Goa was forced to cancel their training session after a player was feared positively tested.
After that, three FC Goa players and coach staff members were sent into isolation after their report showed contrasting results.
