Odisha Govt can offer posts DGP Abhay Plum after retirement

Bhubaneswar: With the DGP Abhay arranged to retire on December 31, speculation that the Odisha government might offer him a plot post after retirement.
The Naveen Patnaik government is known to point a bureaucrat with a clean trace record to various major posts.
Retired IAS Officer R Balakrishnan has served as the main advisor at the head of the minister’s head (CMO).
In August 2019, retired Head of Secretary of Aditya Padhi and DGP R P Sharma was appointed as Commissioner of the Election of State and Members, Lokayukta, respectively.
Both have taken voluntary pensions of service and have received new offers.
In December last year, the government has appointed a retired secretary of the President of the Asit Tripathy as Chair of the West Odisha Development Board.
Tripathy is given additional fees and is the main CMO advisor on regional development, tourism, agribusiness and industry.
Senior Senior Officer Satyajit Mohanty, also, took voluntary pension and joined the Chairman of the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) in February this year.
“Naveen and his office are very dependent on bureaucrats.
It has become a trend and tradition of the government to appoint IAS retirees and CM favorite IPS to posts that are different after their retirement.
Because Abhay has a clean and honest service record and does not fall in any controversy, The government can reward him with work after he retires, “said P Mohapatra, said a retired police officer.
Given its contribution to fighting left wing extremism and narcotics drug trafficking in the state, the talks conducted a rotation that Abhay chosen to advise the government about the problems related to security.
Abhay (1986-Batch Officer) was named after DGP on November 20, 2019 and assumed the cost on December 9 that year.
Although he is scheduled to retire in June 2021, the government extends its services with six more months to meet the direction of the Supreme Court to ensure a minimum of two-year DGP work period.
Abhay is the first DGP Odisha, which issued his duties for two full years as stipulated by the APEX court.
The government on December 15 was named the Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau, Sunil Bansal as the successor of Abhay.
