Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Higher Education on Monday asked for teaching and non-teaching staff from universities and universities managed by the government, assisted and without assistance to continue the task on all working days with the effect of Tuesday.
Until now, around 50% of staff are reported to work based on a list.
The decision has been taken to maintain undergraduate and postgraduate examination and publication of results in mind.
Secretary of the Department of Sasswat Mishra, in a letter to the representative of the National Public Chancellor and the college principal, said the Covid-19 situation had improved compared to what was in mid-April.
Given this, the attendance system of a list of 50% for teaching and non-teaching employees has been introduced in higher education institutions since April 19.
He further wrote in the letter, “Much important work has long been delayed because of the presence of a thin staff for almost two and a half months now.
These institutions must conduct semester / final exams from 2020-21 semester / pg semester / year in the year Online mode and publish the earliest results so that their career is not threatened.
Student exams from other semesters must also be done one by one to ensure that they do not suffer a lot because of the delayed academic calendar.
“Considering all this, the department has attracted a 50% Roster attendance system , All teaching and non-teaching employees of higher education institutions must attend the task on all working days with the effect of July 6, the letter is read.
This department clarified that the instructions of the General Administration Department regarding the closing of government offices on Saturday did not apply to the level of universities and universities.
However, these institutions will remain closed on Saturday as long as there is a shutdown of the weekend related Covid-19 declared in the district / city / city.
Institution employees will strictly follow the Covid-19 guidelines, including wearing facial masks, hand wash properly, maintain social distance and self / quarantine isolation.
