Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has shown several differences in government statements regarding the death of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Government figures show that the state recorded 3,097 deaths in just 47 days between July 15 and August 31 this year.
“Previously, it was reported that there were 4,925 deaths on July 15, 2021,” said the court on Tuesday.
“(But) the statement of September 6, 2021, showed 8,022 deaths in Odisha because of the pandemic on August 31, 2021”, he said.
The court questioned the way in which these numbers had arrived.
It asked the government to submit a new Affidavit in October and postponed this problem until October 7.
The division bench, led by chairman of Judge S Muridhar, was to judge the writing petition that was looking for directions for the United States to facilitate Covid vaccination for Odisha citizens who were elderly and different.
The High Court questioned the estimated target population population of the elderly and asked the state government to clarify whether the target has been determined by the 2011 census or estimated number 2021.
“These figures also do not overcome the people’s problems with the distinction and the typical problems they have, regardless of From age, in receiving vaccines, “the court observed.
