Odisha: JATRA, Gym artists, and salon owners ask for government assistance

Bhubaneswar: People from various professions including JATRA artists as well as salon owners and beauty spas, fitness centers and coaching centers, whose livelihoods have been affected because of the lumbers, the streets on Thursday demanded permission to continue the operation when the Covid case fell in the state.
They also demand special financial packages because their income is affected by Covid for more than a year.
“We do not appear on stage for more than 18 months.
How long can we survive without work? The government must give us financial assistance so that we can survive,” Daitari Panda said, an Jatra actor.
“Gymnasium is part of a healthy lifestyle and is very important to build immunity for people to fight deadly viruses.
In addition, many health coaches have become unemployed and those who have invested Crores in the Gym business suffered huge losses due to the country.
Like Maharashtra, Kerala and Delhi can allow the reopening of the gym after the Covid guidelines, then why did the Odisha government do the same thing? “Satyajit asked, the president of all the Association of Odisha Gym owners.
Hundreds of professional beauty experts under the banners of Odisha’s beauty and hair association (Osbha) also participated in the protest.
“Lockdown has been hard on everyone.
If the barber shop can operate then why can’t salon beauty or spa where Covid guidelines can be followed in a much better way?” Asked Manha Das, a beautician.
