Bhubaneswar: A journalist died in an IED explosion (improvised explosive device) in the fortune district around noon on Saturday while trying to take a photo of Maoist’s poster, who filed an appeal of people to boycott the election of Panchayat to come in Odisha.
Such Maoist poster has appeared in several South and Western Odisha districts in the past a few days before the rural polls scheduled for February 16.
Saravana Vivek SP said the journalists seemed to be very close to the poster while trying to take the picture.

Vivek said the Division of Kandhamal-Law-Boudh (KKBN) (CPI-Maoist) has installed a poster near the Karlackhunta bridge in Madanpur Rampur.
After the police received information like that around 9 in the morning, two CRPF and bomb-disposal team companies were made to dominate the area.
However, around 12 noon, there was an explosion where the journalist was killed.
The Alment Rohit Bispity (47) is a resident of the Madanpur-Rampur region.
He survived his wife, a nine-year-old son and a six-year-old daughter.
