Bhubaneswar: Head of the Naveen Patnaik Minister on Thursday said that the involvement of the community in development planning is very important for balanced regional growth.
Joining an induction program for 56 senior economic researchers in the State Planning Department and convergence through video conferencing, it emphasizes evidence-based results-oriented planning that will result in achieving the goals of sustainable development and a better human development index.
“This will ensure growth with justice and equity.
Systematic development planning requires community involvement and selected representatives, who have better knowledge of local needs and resources.
Such approach will help overcome distortion in local level planning,” said Naveen.
