Odisha man airlifted for care with crowdfunding in Chennai

Bhubaneswar / Religious: Amrit Pradhan, who is 25 years old from the whole, who almost managed to defeat Covid, sepsis and failure of the lungs with lung transplants after being flown from Bhubaneswar, died at Chennai Hospital on Tuesday night.
This graduate of the engineering, a resident of Silk Basudev Nagar, has undergone a successful lung transplant in the hospital on October 23, while being under the support of an advanced oxygenation membrane (ECMO).
Four days ago, suddenly his condition deteriorated and he suffered a heart attack.
A team of doctors had tried to save him, but he lost a long battle against health complications.
He was infected with Covid-19 in the last week of April.
While all of his family members have recovered from this disease, his health deteriorates.
He rushed to AIims Bhubaneswar for treatment on May 2.
After assessing his critical condition, the doctors had told family members about the need for ECMO support and lung transplantation.
They need around RS 1.2 Crore for Amrit care.
Do not lose hope, the family tries to raise funds and place an appeal on the online crowdfunding platform for medical needs, ‘milaap’ and can raise more than half the amount.
While collecting funds, the family was also related to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.
After their confirmation, Amrit was flown from Bhubaneswar.
