Bhubaneswar: Minister of Ashwini Vaishnaw Railway on Thursday marked the Puri-Hati-Puri Tapaswini Express with Rajdhani coach from the Bhubaneswar train station.
The coach designed designed Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) will bring comfort to travelers traveling on the train.
This train (introduced in 1996) is important that connects several Odisha districts before heading to its destination.
It connects Puri, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Talcher, Angul, RAIRAKHOLE, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Rajgangpur, Rourkela and Nuagaon before arriving at Hata in Jharkhand.
LHB coach has more safety features with modular interiors and equipment, more capacity of seating with lower noise and other features such as high-capacity coolers, increased trouble suspension system.
Vaishnaw, who is on a two-day Odisha visit, talks about various train projects that are ongoing in the state.
“We will dedicate work on a train project, but it is the responsibility of the state to provide land for this,” he added.
He said work on the stretch of Mahipur-Nuagaon from the new project line 289-Km Khurda Road-Balangir will be completed and assigned at the end of February.
The Nuagaon section to the Daspalla of this project will be completed in the next 10 months.
The Daspalla part to Buguda has the main problem of land acquisition due to the obstacles of forest cleaning.
In terms of balangir, construction work is taking place connecting Sonepur, Boudh and Champapur.
“I hope in the next 14 months, work in these areas will be completed,” Minister said.
The new Bargarh-Nuabada line project is given a principle approval by the center.
“A project that connects Junagarh in Odisha with Bhadrachalam in Telangana through Nabarangpur, Jeypore and Malkangiri has been approved.
This will connect several districts that are not connected to the Indian train map,” Minister said.
He also said the train had advanced to develop the Bhubaneswar train station.
The survey was conducted for the project.
“The last design of the return of the station will come soon.
We will continue our development work.
Funds will not be a problem for work,” he added.
He appealed to selected representatives to lead and help the government to solve local level problems to cleanse congestion.
“Local people hard protest project work in the railroad start from Angul.
We must rise above politics and work towards the development of our people,” he added.
Among other things, the Ministers of Education Union Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi and Local Mlaas spoke on that occasion.
