Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mla Purna Chandra Swain finally cleared the 10th Council exam, at the age of 49 years.
Swain, a member of the Biju Janata Dal from Surada, passed the exam with class B2, securing 340 of the 500 marks in the state open school certificate exam.
He has appeared on the exam at SB High School in Surada in the Ganjam district.
According to the scoring card, MLA three times has secured the highest sign (85) in painting, while it obtained the lowest (44) in English.
He got 83 in home science, 61 in social science, and 67 in Odia.
The maximum sign for each subject is 100.

The Secondary Education Council (BSE), Odisha has announced the results of the matriculation exam, which was carried out in offline mode last month.
Of the total 15,155 students, 6,596 has submitted an HSC exam, 8,493 for the examination of state open school certificates, and 66 for the Madhyama exam, said BSE President Ramashis Hazra.
A total of 80.83 percent of candidates, or 5,233 students, passed the offline exam, while 141 failed.
Smooth students consist of 3,100 boys and 2,133 girls, said Hazra.
A total of 271 students registered an increase in scores, while 459 students recorded their impairment compared to their score obtained in an alternative assessment method, he said.
BSE has carried out offline tests for students, who are not satisfied with the alternative methods adopted to declare exam results.
