Odisha: More than 2.29 Lakh voters to decide the fate of the pipeliles at Bypoll today

Bhubaneswar: For almost a year after the death of Mla Pradeep Maharathy, around 2.29 Lakh voters from the plot assembly constituency were set to choose the new MLA through the election scheduled on Thursday.
The administration has made the settings needed for the smooth behavior of Bypolls in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, which was postponed three times for various reasons.
Voting will begin at 7 am and continue until 6pm at 348 selection voting stations.
District collector (Puri) Samarth Verma, SP Kanwar Vishal Singh and senior officials visited the Various Stan Area of ​​the Pipile and Delang on Wednesday to review readiness and other arrangements as voting officials with EVMS, VVPats and other materials have reached STAN.
Nearly 2,200 voting personnel and 2,000 security personnel, including three companies from the border security force, have been involved by administration for free, fair and smooth behavior from the election.
“Adequate arrangements have been made for free and fair polls.
We took all steps to ensure a safe Covid selection as directed by the Indian Election Commission,” said Head of the Lohani SK election officer.
The thermal scanning of voters will be carried out while those who have high temperatures will be allowed to vote them in the last hour with additional safety protocols.
Additional staff are being deployed to ensure strict obedience from the Covid protocol such as keeping physical distances while standing in the queue, often wearing hands.
Although 10 candidates were in a commotion for separators, this fight was mainly among the candidates of the three main political parties – Rudra Pratap Maharathy BJP, Ashrit Pattasayak and Congress Bishwokeshan Mohapatra.
