Bhubaneswar: Members of the All Odisha Aided College (Category 488) Teachers and employees on Sunday urged the state government to provide facilities under the grant system (GIA).
The inclusion of names in the list of cadres, pensions, promotions and salaries according to the recommendations of the 7th payment commission are some of their demands.
The state government in September 2017 abolished the Grant block system and replaced it with the GIA system.
Speaking of people, the organizer of the Association of Aditya Prasad Rath, “Although the state government has brought the GIA system for 488 college category teachers, it does not give them facilities provided to other regular teachers who get a salary.
There is no problem in providing retirement under the rules Pension benefits, 1981 for our teacher.
Why the state government does not apply the recommendation of the 7th payment commission as far as their salary is concerned.
“He added that the Department of Higher Education must consider their demands and allow them to use facilities.
“Our name must be included in the list of cadres.”
