Odisha: Naveen Patnaik says no More Centre’s Help, Will Not Load it pandemic

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik failed to request Prime Minister Narendra Modi for instant fundamental help for post-Cyclone Yaas rebuilding if the latter came here on Friday to examine the circumstance.
Naveen, among the longest functioning CMs from the nation (he’s conducted the state authorities as 2000), tweeted afterwards attending the meeting chaired by Modi:”Since the nation is in the summit of #COVID19 pandemic, we haven’t sought any immediate monetary help to load that the Central Govt and might love to handle it via our own funds to tide over the crisis (sic).
” Rather, Naveen sought aid for long-term steps to produce the coastal country, that was ravaged by four cyclones in as many decades, disaster-resilient.
“We’re frequented by this kind of climate hazards each year.
Highlighted #Odisha’s requirement for disaster resilient electricity infrastructure and rugged coastal security together with storm surge resilient embankments (sic),” an additional tweet from the Odisha CM read.
Odisha needs an underground cable system for electricity supply so that electricity infrastructure isn’t ruined when a cyclone strikes.
The CM’s prognosis stood outside on a single day that his West Bengal counterpart, Mamata Banerjee, jumped a meeting chaired by Modi at Bengal and handed a letter to the PM searching $20,000 crore in help.
