CORAPUT: The day after the Coraput government thwarted the efforts of Andhra Pradesh to launch a health program in several villages of Kotia Panchayat – which was claimed by Odisha and Andhra to become their own territory – the country borders the drive of Covid-19 vaccination in Neridivalaka village on Saturday.
The source said the official team from the Primary Health Center Thonam Andhra Pradesh traveled and spread awareness of viral diseases.
“The problem will be asked and the necessary actions are taken.
We have fulfilled the security in the villages under Pancayat Kotia and legal steps will be taken against Andhra officials concerned to enter without the Odisha region permission,” said a senior Koraput official.
On Friday, the police, which were deployed by the Coraput government under the supervision of Sunabeda (SDO) Monoj Kumar Behera, has denied entering the Andhra official team to Ganjeipadar Village and Uppersembi where they tried to launch a health program.
Also, the police have won several signs of the Andhra government from the area.
Disputes over Ownership of 21 of 28 Kotia Pancayat Village reached the Supreme Court in 1968.
In 2006, the APEX court stated that the boundaries between countries were not included in its jurisdiction, and only parliament could resolve the problem.
The court imposes permanent orders in disputed areas.
