Odisha: OIC role under the scanner in the death of gajapati forest officers

Bhubaneswar / Religious: The role of the Gajapati District-in-Charge (OIC) officer in the mysterious death of the assistant forest conservator, Saumya Ranjan Mohapatra, in Paradanghemundi recently, has been under the scanner.
The deceased’s father, Abbiram Mohapatra, has accused the Oks Mamata Panda by using his influence to stop the investigation.
Mohapatra said Panda was a relative of the wife of Saumya Bharati Bidya, who was one of the accused of the assistant conservator alleged forest killing cases.
Gajapati DFO Sangram Kheri Behera and Cook Marmath Bidya Kumbha are two other accused in this case.
“When my child was rushed to the hospital after maintaining serious burns on the night of the intervention July 11 and July 12, OC Mamata had stopped the ambulance in the middle of about an hour.
He wants my child to die without reaching the hospital.
The police officer did it on the orders of the son-in-law I, “Alleged Mohapatra.
However, Mamata refused to comment on the accusation so far.
“We will definitely ask him.
He will be asked to respond to the accusation and whether he visited the District Head Office Hospital where Saumya was accepted.
Anyone suspected of linking the murder case to come to the surface will be questioned,” said Gajapati SP Tapan Kumar Pattnik told media media.

“We will bake DFO.
The Crime Branch team has helped our investigation officers in this case,” SP said, avoiding questions about the delay in carrying DFO under PurView Probe.
