Bhubaneswar: Wing Wing Wing (EOW) from the crime branch on Saturday arrested someone from Buxibazar in Cuttack to disguise as an official Indian Tourism Development Company (ITDC) and deceive an employee of Rs 50 Lakh with a promise to sell itdc- belongs to the hotel nilachal ashok in Puri .
Conman, Anikesh Sahu, took advantage of the planned monetization of central assets for hotels, including those in Puri, hatching plans together with former contract engineer OTDC Chandan Akash Mohanty – who are currently in prison in other cases of fraud – to sell hotels It has been in a dilapidated condition since 2006.
EOW officials said in February last year, Anikesh and Chandan, posing as the senior executive ITDC met Tapan Mohanty, a Puri-based poultry wholesaler.
