Bhubaneswar: Opposition political parties hit the streets for the fifth consecutive day on Saturday demanding the Minister of Junior House Dibya Shankar Mishra, which quoted the allegations of his closeness with the schools of Mamita Meer’s allegations accused, Gobinda Sahu.
It came a day after the Sahu acknowledged his crime and coincided with the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission (SCW) Odisha Behera met with Mamita’s family members in their place of origin in Balalanir district and convinced them about the rapid exhibition probe into crime.
Drawing attention to the absence of Mishra from a meeting aimed at by Minister of Naveen Patnaik in Bari on Friday, where he is scheduled to share Dais with CM, the opposition claims that BJD indirectly recognizes Mishra’s error.
Overcoming a press conference here, Congress spokesman Satya Prakash said, “BJD’s leadership seems to be confused about the fate of Mishra.
CM is embarrassed to share the stage with a polluted minister, but it is not ready to remove it for the best known reasons for him.” Ompting a similar view, BJP State President Samir Mohanty said, “The government led by BJD did not immediately accept the minister’s mistake by not allowing him to be part of the meeting handled by Naveen.
They must show him and bring him under investigative preview to ensure a fair investigation , mainly because the families of the victims accused the minister’s involvement in the crime.
“BJP leaders and Congress remember that Anchalik Mahavidala Memahing was founded by Sahu was the center of paper leakage plus II in 2013, after a branch investigation of the crime was ordered.
However, under political protection, the same polluted institution received a massive government grant from the MLA LAD fund and the West Odisha development board.
This area is under Junagarh assembly chair represented by Mishra.
However, BJD continued to defend Mishra.
BJD spokesman Ipsita Sahoo and Elina Das said crimes against women were very high in countries ruled by BJP.
“The involvement of BJP leaders has emerged in many cases.
But BJP women’s wings here indulge low-level politics on sensitive problems,” a press statement issued by the powerful party here.
