Bhubaneswar: The country gave a dose of covid vaccine crore in the last 34 days (not including Sundays), reaching the administrative milestone 3 crore doses on Wednesday.
At an average of 2.94 lakh doses have been given every day in the last 40 days.
The state has reached two crore doses on August 18.
Last milestone of 3 doses crore showed that Odisha close to the half-way mark of fully vaccinated people who are eligible 18-plus.
The state has 3.20 beneficiaries that meet the requirements for those who need a dose of 6.40 crores.
So far the country has provided a vaccine to 3.02.90,777 where 83.31,893 has taken the two doses.
Bijay Panigrahi, Director, Family Welfare, said in terms of total dosage, the country is close to a half-way sign.
“We have maintained the speed of vaccination according to plan.
The state will reach 3 crore doses three days ago.
We have no vaccinations for two consecutive days because of the cyclone,” Panigrahi said, adding that a little more than 27% of the qualified population had been given a dose.
The state has 14 doses of lakh vaccines in stock until Wednesday night.
“The vaccine consignment reaches here before the stock runs out.
So, there are no problems that meet the planned vaccination plan,” Panigrahi added.
Among the ages of 18-44, 1,55,43,777 have received a temporary vaccine as a whole of 15.55.50.856 men have received Jab.
Of the total dose given so far, 2.64.97.911 covishield doses have been used.
Ganjam Regency moves through Khurda in terms of the cumulative dose given.
While Ganjam gave 32.09.880 doses until Wednesday, the total Khurda reached 31.50.117.
On Wednesday, the country reported 565 new cases from 58,635 samples tested, registering TPR 0.96%, slightly higher than 0.70%.
Five districts did not report a single Covid case while 256 was more infected with the Khurda with the capital of seeing 173 cases against 189 recovery.
