Odisha: Passport verification now in just four days

Cuttack: Odisha police have reduced time to verify passport search applications for up to four days.
On Saturday, DGP Abhay said, “In the first two weeks of September, the average time of passport verification by the Odisha police was brought to four days.” The average verification time of the passport application was 99 days in 2017.
It became 26 days in 2018 before it rose to 36 years 2020, due to the situation of the pandemic.
Earlier this year, the Odisha police have decided to bring a substantial increase in the duration of verification.
Under 5T initiatives, accelerated verification process recently.
