BHUBANESWAR: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) at Puri on Sunday finalised the Programs to Rath Yatra and the Related rituals–Debasnan Purnima, Bahuda Yatra, Suna Besha and Niladri Bije.
The country’s biggest festival is going to be celebrated just in Puri on July 12 with no congregation of devotees due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The timings of 19 rituals are adjusted for Rath Yatra.
According to the program, Pahandi, that calls for the ceremonial procession of their deities in the temple sanctum sanctorum for their respective chariots, will be carried out between 8.30am and 11.30am.
Puri Maharaja Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb may conduct exactly the Chhera Pahanra ritual just like he does each year.
It entails crossing the decks of their chariots with a gold eyebrow from 12.45pm to 2pm.
The drawing of this iconic chariots in the Jagannath Temple into the Gundicha Temple (birthplace of their deities), that was used to observe that the involvement of lakhs of devotees until Covid struck, is scheduled to start at 3pm.
The SJTA also has published the timings of these rituals such as Debasnan Purnima on June 24and also an integral festival at the run-up into Rath Yatra.

The district government may issue passes to the servitors due to their smooth entrance into the temple through these festivals.
“We shall impose a curfew round the temple and about the Grand Road to avoid the group of devotees throughout the Rath.
The country data and public relations department may ease the live streaming of their festivals around TV.
We’ve requested the servitors not to stand before the deities to make sure the devotees receive a very clear perspective through the live telecast,” Verma said.
