Odisha pushed Covid to the side, ready to accommodate the Junior Hockey World Cup

Bhubaneswar: National Flag 16 Countries together with people from the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and Indian Hockey flying high at the Kalinga Stadium here, announcing the first major tournament to be hosting because of last year’s Covid outbreak.
From Wednesday to 5 December, the stadium will host the Junior Hockey World Cup, detained after a five-year gap.
The country gets around two months to prepare tournaments but has many international tournaments, including the Men’s World Cup, in the past, the state government is a game for a junior world cup despite a pandemic.
“Even though we only got two months to prepare for the program, we made the best effort to make a big success event.
Odisha will prove to be a great host,” said Delip Tirkey, a former Indian player and Chairman, Hockey Odisha promotion board.
All 16 participating teams have landed in the city and practiced in the designated venue.
All eyes will be in Pakistan, who will play in the country after a three-year gap.
Pakistan arrived on Saturday and sweating for a better show.
