Bhubaneswar: The state receives 75% deficit rainfall this month until Monday when Monsoon remains calm over the country for nine consecutive days, said IMD on Monday.
Likewise, the overall rainfall deficit during the rainy season began from June to a date of touching 28% by 20 of the 30 districts facing the deficit.
The rain deficit in Bhadrak, Balalangir, Gajapati and Jajpur touched more than 40%, the official IMD report stated.
The next IMD shows that the weak rainy season is likely to continue for four-five days without the chance of large rainfall throughout the state.
HR Biswas, Director of the Central IMD Center, said, “There will be mild to moderate rainfall in the way in the next two days.
After that, the activity of rainfall in the state will see a small increase in two days and again.” Loaded Chandra Sahu, Director of the Center for Environment and Climate in SOA is considered a university, said, “Monsoon trends that are weak likely to continue at least for another week.” However, Sahu, former Director of the Central IMD center, said the North Odisha bag is likely to receive ‘moderate’ rainfall for the next three days of August 10 because of the influence of the trough of the region.
