Bhubaneswar: The state receives 75% deficit rainfall this month until Monday when Monsoon remains calm over the country for nine consecutive days, said IMD on Monday.
Likewise, the overall rainfall deficit during the rainy season began from June to a date of touching 28% by 20 of the 30 districts facing the deficit.
The rain deficit in Bhadrak, Balalangir, Gajapati and Jajpur touched more than 40%, the official IMD report stated.
The next IMD shows that the weak rainy season is likely to continue for four-five days without the chance of large rainfall throughout the state.
