Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Covid-19 Tally rose to 11,96,140 on Saturday as 8,845 people, including 927 children, tested positive infections, said a health bulletin.
The daily surge in case is the lowest in the last 10 days, reducing 18.5 percent from 10,856 a week ago.
The state has recorded 9,833 cases and six deaths on Friday.
Korena Corenavirus the state increased to 8,514 because seven more patients surrendered to infection, he said.
Khurda Regency, where Bhubaneswar crashed, recorded the highest number of cases of 2,528, followed by 1,001 in Sundargarh and 628 in Cuttack, he said.
Two deaths were reported at Angul, and each one in Cuttack, Puri, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur.
Fifty-three other patients have died because of comorbidity so far.
As many as 10,390 people recovered from this disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery to 10,99,423, he said.
The test level of the test fell to 12.89 percent from 13.21 percent a day ago as 68,625 samples were tested for Covid-19.
The number of active cases decreased slightly to 88,150, including 32,405 in Khurda Regency.
Sundargarh, Cuttack, Balalasore and Sambalpur are also in the red zone, where the infection is now more than 2,500.
Puri, Jajpur and Mayurbhanj are one of the 13 districts in the yellow zone with each more than 1,000 patients.
