Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Friday reported 61 Covid-19 deaths and 2,806 cases, said a health department official.
Covid-19 victims rose to 4,476 with the last death, he said.
“This list does not reflect death occurs on certain days.
This provides details of past deaths that have been carried out by the death audit process and the causes of death have been identified as because of Covid-19,” the state health department tweeted.
Khurda contributed 11 of the last death, followed by Bargarh, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj and Puri (six each).
In addition, 53 other Covid-19 patients had given up due to comorbidity, the official said.
The country has so far reported 9.35,136 cases of Covid-19.
New infections, 1,613 were detected in quarantine centers while the remaining 1,193 was a local contact case.
Khurda Regency reported 590 new cases, followed by Cuttack (441), Jajpur (252), Ballasore (153) and Puri (138).
There are 27,429 active cases in the current state.
There were 5,001 cases of active in Khurda and 4,169 in the Cuttack, because in which the two districts were in the ‘red zone’.
In the last 24 hours, 2,896 patients recovered, took the total recovery amount to 9.03,178.
New cases detected after testing 78,560 samples.
The Ministry of Health said it would start vaccination for pregnant women after July 15.
ANM, Asha, anger worker and other health workers have been directed to complete training on vaccination of pregnant women, the country’s nodal officer said, said Bijay Panigrahi.
Secretary of the Head, Health, PK Mohapatra issued instructions to all district collectors, city commissioners and the head of the medical district and public health to begin preparation to autoculate pregnant women.
