Odisha: School-on-Wheels for Tribal Students

Bhubaneswar: The St.
and SC development department has launched the Sanjog School program, Aninitative of School on Wheels for Children, especially from the poor and vulnerable tribal group (PVTG) community.
The initiative, joint collaboration from the state and UNICEF government, aims to offer sustainable learning experiences to around 40,000 students in class IV in the PVTG community in Keonjhar, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Raya, Kandamal, and Ganjam.
“Lockdown, which leads to the launch of virtual learning, denies education to many students in the PVTG area because they do not have access to smartphones or the internet,” Help Ranjana Chopra, Main Secretary, St & SC development department.
