Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday announced the return of the physical class for the 11th and 8th Standard students after the Puja Durga holiday because the country witnessed the trend of decline in the Covid-19 case, said school notices and mass education.
Physical class for Standard 11 will begin on October 21 and for Standard 8 on October 25th because the country witnessed the trend of decline in the case of Covid-19, he said.
Teaching classes for Standard 9 and 12 students have returned in the state with strict compliance with health safety guidelines.
No cooking foods that are cooked will be served for Standard 8 students and dry rations will be given to them instead, the notice said.

Hostels for students Standard 11 and 8 will also be reopened along with the date of reopening school after the Covid-19 protocol and social blasphemy norms.
“The Covid-19 situation has improved in the state.
We will continue the teaching of classes for grade 11 and 8 students from October 21 and October 25,” said Minister of School Education and Dash.
He, however, said there was no decision taken to reopen the school for students from class 1 to grade 7.
“The meeting will be held on October 16 with all state district education officers in this case and instructions will be issued to begin preparation for the start of the class for Standard 8 and 11 students,” he said.
The school was closed from October 9 for Durga Puja and Kumar Purnima and will be reopened on October 21.
Notification said the government has allowed the reopening of those run by countries or countries managed by the government and secondary schools managed privately for standards of 8 and 11 for the 2021-22 academic year under the school opening strategy.
