BHUBANESWAR: Since Cyclone Yaas inches nearer to Odisha shore, the state authorities on Monday deployed several senior IAS and IPS officials in addition to officials and engineers from other divisions in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Mayurbhanj districts to oversee the rescue and recovery actions. Many physicians too have already been shipped into Balasore and Bhadrak in which the cyclone is very likely to cause the most damage. Yaas is very likely to make landfall at Balasore district on May 26. Sports secretary Vishal Dev and inspector general of police (eastern variety ) Diptesh Pattanayak are delegated to oversee the operations in Balasore; Food provides secretary fighter Yadav and inspector general of police (crime branch) Amitendra Nath Sinha would seem after Bhadrak; businesses secretary Hemant Sharma along with deputy inspector general (fundamental array ) J N Pankaj are delivered to Kendrapada; greater education secretary Saswat Mishra and Agency general (surgeries ) Amitabh Thakur are stationed in Jagatsinghpur; along with agriculture specific secretary Suresh Kumar Vashishth and also deputy inspector general (specific intelligence wing) Anirudh Kumar Singh have already been delivered into Mayurbhanj. The state functions division has shipped Anil Kant Tripathy (engineer-in-chief( civil) into Balasore, Pradip Kumar Samal (main engineer, OSHB) into Bhadrak, Gaurang Charan Sahu (primary engineer, e-procurement) into Jagatsinghpur, Jibanananda Nayak (primary engineer, study development & excellent wing) into Kendrapada and Bibhudendra Meher (superintending engineer, NH group, Keonjhar) into Mayurbhanj district to oversee recovery work. The government has delivered extra physicians to Balasore and Bhadrak to guarantee smooth control of Covid-related function and treatment for patients throughout the cyclone. “We’ve mailed ten interns all from the SCB medical school and hospital at Cuttack delivered to Balasore and Bhadrak. Anyway, some article PG medical officers are delivered to the 2 districts,” added chief secretary (wellness ) Pradipta Mohaptra stated. The housing and urban development division has set eight older officers at Balasore and Bhadrak to help the anxious civic bodies in handling the cyclone. “We also have opened a dedicated control area in the nation urban development service (SUDA) opened in Bhubaneswar to deal with the grievances about Cyclone Yaas,” an officer of their home and urban development department stated.
