Bhubaneswar: Towards the reopening of the Puri Jagannath Temple from August 16, the Temple Government has decided to exclusively allow the servants and family members near them to have Darshan Dewa on Thursday and Friday.
According to the standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by the Shree Jagannath Temple Government on Wednesday, their servants and families will be allowed to enter the temple since the Mangala Aarti era in the early hours for the next two days.
They were asked to bring their health insurance cards issued by the temple government, along with proof of photo identity, for free access to the temple.
Wadder entries and non-servitor relatives from servants are very prohibited, SOP said.
It also emphasizes the guidelines for worshipers, including the residents of Puri, to enter the temple.
As previously announced, the residents of the Urban Puri area could step into the 12th century Temple from 16 to 20 August.
The door will open for all people from August 23.
The temple will still be closed on all Saturdays and weeks in a shutdown weekend view in Puri.
The worshipers can have Darshan Dewa from 7am to 7pm on weekdays, the soup is highlighted.
It will also remain closed on the occasion of a large celebration to avoid the worshipers in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to SOP, the temple will be closed for worshipers in Janmashtami, which falls on August 30 and during Ganesh Chaturthi on September 10.
The temple administration said it would be mandatory for worshipers to bring their vaccination certificate (full dose) or RT- Negative PCR reports obtained 96 hours before their visit from August 23.
However, this restriction does not apply to them (servants, their families and local residents of Puri), who have been permitted to have Darshan specially god before August 23.
The kiosk will be arranged outside the temple to check the Certificate of Vaccination or RT-PCR negative reports on worshipers.
The body of the temple has also appealed to worshipers not to touch any idols or structures in the location of the temple.
They have been advised to offer DIYAS BHOG or lighting at the temple.
Waders are allowed to buy Mahaprasad, but cannot take it in the temple.
The servitor was made to undergo the test needed at the Covid test center specifically in front of the reopening of the temple.
