Bhubaneswar: The speaker at the State Level Seminar on Urdu’s education expressed concern with the government continued to ignore this education mode from school to higher studies.
The speaker raises some of the problems concerned with Urdu education such as the lack of teachers and non-recruitment of Urdu Teachers in several schools where there are these facilities.
Similar is a problem at the college level, they accuse.
They regretted such problems being considered even at the Premier Ravenshaw University and Bhadrak Autonomous College.
It was alleged that the 109-year-old Urdu training school in Cuttack also faced the lack of teachers and threats to eliminate Urdu teaching modes.
The seminar held under the Panji Action Committee Urdu Bachao urged the government to take serious records regarding language neglect.
It demanded that a committee be formed to maintain Urdu education and the problem.
Conventor Country Committee Bachao, Shaikh Muntaqeem Buksh, coordinated the seminar along with Mufti Ghulam Ali.
Former Railroad Board Member Mohammad Akhtar said the government must protect the constitutional rights of the community to get education in the Urdu medium regardless of other modes.
