Bhubaneswar: The CBI team, who has gone to the Dhenkanal District as part of the national crackdown on those involved in online child pornography, was attacked from the local residents on Tuesday, with one video showing the officers were dragged by the collar and beat in full.

The difficulty began when the CBI team stormed the house of Surendra Nayak in Dhenkanal City on charges of promoting and circulating pornography of children on social media.

Dhenkanal police supervisor who came out (SP) K Siva Subramani confirmed the liaison between the locals and the CBI team.
“Immediately after receiving the SOS from the CBI team, our personnel reached the place and brought a situation under control.
Some locals did not let the CBI officers let go of their duties.
The situation was under control now,” Subramani said, which was set to join the CBI in Central Deputation.
No complaints have been submitted by the CBI with the local police to archiving this report.
“We have not received complaints from CBI officers so far,” Subramani added.
