Bhubaneswar: Apart from protests throughout the state by students at the request of the cancellation of the Board Exam, the Odisha government on Thursday announced that the assessment will be held offline.
“Students must start preparing the council exam to be carried out offline by their respective councils,” said Chief Secretary Chandra Mohapatra.
After the third wave of Pandemic Covid-19, students are divided into whether the board test must be held or not.
While some want the test canceled, the other rooting for offline exams.
Experts and parents say the exam must be done for better student career prospects.
On Thursday, a group of students underwent agitation, looking for a test to be canceled.
Other groups of students held a demonstration, demanded an offline exam.
“Last year, the state government made a big mistake by canceling the council test and gave students based on their performance two years ago.
If the government repeats the same mistake and canceled this year’s board exam again, then it will completely disrupt the education system.
Also, It will have a serious impact on student careers, “said Prabodh Panda, a former ChSE examination controller.
“The government can delay the exam for several months and do it offline after completing the course,” Panda added.
“Schools continue offline teaching from October to January 10, where more than 50% of courses are complete.
Students must welcome the state of the state to reopline the offline class.
