Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Panican Panciran and the upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB), internal disputes in the State Congress unit have reached a new low with senior legislators and party whip in the Prasad Tara Assembly Bahinipati questioned the leadership of the Odisha President Congress, Niranjan Patnaik, and threatened Get out of the party.
Development can leave all the committees of the red Indian Congress (AICC) after the party has received a blow after the resignation of the former MP Assam and the National President of the Mahila Congress, Sushmita Dev, on Sunday.
Tara, Congress four times Mla, said, “Niranjan is inappropriate to hold a post from the President of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC).” He vented his anger for the return of the former Laxmipur Mla Kailash Kulesika to a party.
Tara said Kesika was involved in anti-party activities and had left Congress.
“Either I and the President of the Coraput District, Meenakshi Bahinipati (Tara’s wife), realized Kesika’s return.
When I contacted the President OPCC, he confirmed Kesika’s re-induction into the party.
It is the responsibility of the President of Opcc to tell the district president about development.
By ignoring us , President OPCC played divisions and ruled politics in the coraput, “Tara told the media.
Tara further said the actions of Niranjan were insults for him.
“I don’t think Niranjan Patnaik deserves the post of the opcc President.
I, along with many other party leaders, will go to Delhi and demand direct replacement.
If Niranjan is not replaced, I will stop the Congress,” Tara said.
Niranjan is not available to comment.
