Bhubaneswar: Following the advice of the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) that elementary school in India must reopen first, the teacher urges the government to allow the reopening of elementary school.
The teachers said when the school remained closed for the past 18 months, children lost basic learning skills.
“We see media reports to quote the ICMR that the results of the Sero survey which are revealed by children can handle virus infections better than adults.
In such situations, the government must consider reopening elementary school rather than reopening high school,” said Brahmanda Maharana, “said Brahmanda Maharana,” said Brahmanda Maharana, President Odisha, President of the Main Teacher Association.
He said online education for elementary school students was completely unsatisfactory.
“With all the teachers vaccinated and students wear masks and follow Covid guidelines, we feel there should be no problem reopening school for primary children,” Maharana said.
