CORAPUT / RELIGION: More than 600 people from three villages in the Coraput Regency Block have threatened to boycott the Three Level Panchayat polls in protest against the absence of all weather ways to their villages.
Residents of Podalguda, Nuaguda and Dumblings accused that they faced many problems in going to block headquarters for various works without the right way.

According to villagers, the road built a few years ago has been fully damaged and their recurring requests for new roads have fallen on deaf ears.
“With a lot of trouble, four-wheeled vehicles can go up to Podalguda, about 3 km from Pottang, but not to our village.
Every selection we believe in the construction of the road but has not happened so far,” said a resident of Nuaguda.
“Therefore, this time we decided to boycott the election of Panchayat,” he added.
In the kandhamal district, the villagers of the village in Pancayat in Blok Khajuripada have decided to boycott three-star Panican polls that will be held next month because their locality does not have cellular connectivity.
Because village calls “no voice without sound”, not single nomination paper has been submitted for Sarpanch, Samiti members and post members of the Environment in the last three days.
The villagers, under banners, aware of citizens, have also protested in front of the Panchayat office and asked prospective candidates not to submit their nominations.
