Odisha tops in taking action in cases of disproportional assets in the country: NCRB

Bhubaneswar: Displays zero tolerance on corruption, Odisha’s vigilance last year took action against 93 civil servants because they had disproportional assets (DA), the highest in this country, revealed the latest data on the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
Gujarat stood in second place with registration of 37 DA cases, while Tamil Nadu was placed third with 21 cases like that last year, the NCRB report said.
Data distributed by Odisha Warvilance – Dedicated Anti-Corruption Directorate – Demonstrating less collected wealth by some polluted civil servants in the case of DA valued at RS 123.92 Crore which was surprising last year.
This is the highest detection of assets that are disproportionate by wing vigilance and almost double the value of DA (RS 62.83 Crore) found in the names of several government employees in the previous year (2019).
“Of the 93 cases of DA registered last year, we detected assets less than Rs 1 Crore in 36 cases and more than Rs 4 Crore in four cases.
Overall 24 and cases are registered against class I and 19 cases and 19 cases registered against class II officers, “Said a senior alert.
The second largest case was registered against the former Forest Forest (IFS) officer Abhay Kant Pathak.
Pathak and his son, Akash, were arrested on November 27, 2020.
Their sore wealth was valued at Rs 9.35 Crore.
With 103 trap cases, it involved the arrest of corrupt government officials when taking bribes, Odisha stood fifth.
Maharashtra topped the list with registration of 631 trap cases last year, the NCRB report further said.
Registration of the overall case of alertness in the country under the prevention of the Corruption Court fell to 245 years ago from 353 in 2019.
The level of confidence in the case of vigilance reached 50% last year, according to the report.
Overall 103 trap cases were registered with 113 civil servants and two individuals for allegedly accepting bribes last year.
“We took the total number of bribes almost Rs 16.62 lakh last year from them.
In 2019, at all 113 trap cases were reported to 120 civil servants and two individuals.
Almost Rs 17.36 Lakh bribery was confiscated from them that year,” said That official.
The Chairperson of Minister of Naveen Patnik has broken the whip in government officials who are corrupt and inefficient by giving them an obligatory retirement.
Many polluted officials from various departments have been dismissed from services in the past two months.
