Frizzted: The day after two special operating group commands (SOG) suffered an injury during a meeting with Maois in Uma’s forest, below the limit of police station Gochhapada Kandhamal, security forces had intensified rebels.
“We have intensified the preliminary operation in the area,” Kandhamal SP Vineet Agrawal said.
Police suspect rebels can hide in dense forests bordering Kandhamal and Boudh districts.
They are also suspicious that some rebels may experience a sustainable injury in a shootout that lasts for about eight hours.
“We will provide details of anti-Maoist operations after the end of the ongoing operation,” said Agrawal.
Meanwhile, the condition of the injured Jawan, underwent treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, said to be stable.
DGP Abhay visited AIIMS and asked about their health condition from a doctor.
