Bhubaneswar: A class XI student from a school in the Bargarh district allegedly puts the life of 20 other boys in danger after he mixed pesticides in their bottled water to ask the agency to call classes.
He issued a transfer certificate by school authorities on Friday.
The source said about 20 boys class XI and XII from Kamgaon high school in Blok Bhatli was hospitalized on Wednesday night after students allegedly mixed pesticides in drinking water bottles were stored in their dorm room when they attended class.
The incident was revealed after he was found to mix pesticides in a water bottle of a student.
Given the Covid-19 pandemic, students have been asked to strictly use private water bottles and do not share them.
“Management has decided to issue a transfer certificate.
His parents have been asked to come to school on Saturday.
Management believes that his parents must be advised to take care of minors and consult a doctor since he may have mental problems,” said Head Premalanda Patel .
Rabbi Narayan Sahu, a school teacher, said it was unclear how many students consumed water mixed with pesticides.
However, all students whose bottles are allegedly mixed with poisons taken to hospital as precautions.
None of the students who continued to observe at the Hospital of the Bargarh Regency Head Office showed complications.
Sahu said students admitted that he had mixed pesticides when he was disturbed after he had to learn that the school was unlikely to vacation as soon as possible even though he thought it would close in the midst of Covid-19 fear.
He has rejected the hostel on December 6, 2008, the government’s shared education school has more than 900 students and is known for good performance in a plus-II examination in addition to co-curricular activities at the state level.
More than 300 students live in hostels.
