Bhubaneswar: Minister of Higher Education Arun Kumar Sahoo on Thursday asked the Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan to instruct central universities to provide time by the end of this month for students to submit undergraduate results (UG) / Marksheet.
Sahoo said if these universities provide time for submission of Marksheets, no student contributed, both from Odisha or elsewhere, will be released from taking tickets to the central universities.
He said the Grants University Commission (UGC) has issued guidelines in July to ensure a uniform academic calendar throughout the country given the Covid-19 situation.
According to the guidelines, all final year / semester exams will be completed on August 31 and enter the PG course to be completed on September 30.

“According to the UGC guidelines, the entrance ticket to the PG course must be completed on September 30.
The central universities must provide time until the end of this month for applicants to submit the final / semester of their ug results or mark sheets.
But it seems that some central universities have deviated from Dateline UGC and have completed their acceptance process in August itself, “said Sahoo.
He said Odisha students faced difficulties because the initial receipt was started by several central universities.
On Monday, Pradhan had written a letter to the main Minister of Naveen Patnaik who was looking for his personal intervention for the direct problems of the last year and the results of the semester or Marksheet undergraduate students (UG) in Odisha.
Sahoo said Odisha held the exam and publishing results in accordance with the UGC guidelines.
