BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha vigilance officials Captured Almost Rs 18.80 lakh in cash in a officer of Tribal Development Cooperative Corporation (TDCC) Ltd from Sundargarh on Tuesday.

The anti-corruption wing stated that this is the greatest ever seizure of unaccounted money from a government worker in the nation.
Jayaprakash Mohanty, the district director of TDCC has been below the vigilance scanner for the last couple of days because of his alleged corrupt actions.
“We’d kept a close eye on his actions and motion.
We had obtained information he gathered illegal satisfaction from other sources.
Our officials of Rourkela branch intercepted his workplace car near Masunikani toll gate while he was moving to Jharsuguda out of Sundargarh.
Throughout the hunt, we regained 18,80,500,” that a vigilance officer stated.
During query, Mohanty couldn’t provide a satisfactory answer about the origin of the money.
“We have arrested him for interrogation.
He’ll be detained if we find signs he collected the money through corrupt practices,” the officer stated.
His authorities quarter Sundargarh and home house in Dhauli at Bhubaneswar have been hunted to discover his own disproportionate resources, if any.

Mohanty was detained because he’d neglected to clarify regarding the legitimate origin of the cash.
