BHUBANESWAR: Odisha wellness ministry Naba Kishore Das has written to Union health ministry Harsh Vardhan asking him to use Covaxin provided from the Centre for inoculation of these belonging to the 18-44 age category.
Covaxin has been administered to people in Bhubaneswar, although Covishield is for remainder of the nation.
The capital city requires 3,96,365 dosages of Covaxin for health care employees, frontline employees and individuals of 45 and age category, while it requires 7,92,730 doses for its next jab.
The country has already obtained 9,86,780 Covaxin doses and it’ll have 1,51,580 doses longer in June.
Consequently 3,45,550 dosages of Covaxin is becoming excess in the country.
