Odisha’s health scheme to cover 25 lakh more families, said CM Naveen Patnik

Bhubaneswar: Head of Minister of Naveen Patnaik on Sunday announced that the state’s superior health scheme, Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY), will be expanded to cover 96 lakh families from now around 71.69 lakh.
About 3.5 crore people from a total of 4.5 crore populations will soon get a smart health card under the scheme, which was launched three years ago on August 15.

The feasibility criteria have been revised to include recipients of national and state food security schemes, Anna and Antoda Anna Yojana Anna.
So far, the beneficiaries of Krushak Kalyan Yojana Bijaja, families who live below the poverty line (BPL), Anyodaya Card Holders and those with annual income less than Rs 2 Lakh are included in BSKY.
While every family can take advantage of the cost of maintenance of up to RS 5 lakh per year, female members can take advantage of this benefit to Rs 10 lakh every year.
Beneficiaries can use health services in more than 200 hospital chains inside and outside Odisha.
The government has ventured 183 hospitals in the state and 17 outside for this purpose.
It will be more empanel for more national reputation hospitals outside the country to provide cash without cash to BSKY card holders.
